Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is used to improve the texture and brightness of your skin. 

WHAT IT IS

At Renewlogie Med Spa, we offer Lumecca and Viora IPL, both of which are safe and effective FDA approved IPL therapies.  

Lumecca is the strongest IPL currently available in the market, while Viora IPL provides a more gentle IPL that is safe for all skin types. 

Treatment plans are prepared following an initial skin assessment and consultation by our physicians to determine which treatment and how many sessions will yield optimal results.  

IPL treats pigmented and vascular lesions. Patients often experience significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of their skin after just their initial treatment, and following completion of a series of treatments, patients experience significant improvement in the appearance of:

• age spots
• sun spots/sun damage
• rosacea (redness)
• vasular lesions such as facial telangiectasis (spider veins) and poikiloderma
• fine lines and wrinkles
• acne

WHAT TO EXPECT

IPL produces younger and more brilliant looking skin over time with most visible results appearing 1-2 weeks post treatment. The procedure operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.

Prior to obtaining treatment, patients should avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning for a period of one month. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This includes the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.

Treatment time varies depending on area being treated, and can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
