Medical Grade Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels remove the outer layers of skin to enhance the appearance as well as improve its functionality. They create controlled damage to the skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, and regenerate dermal structures.
Chemical Peels are classified based on their depth of penetration, from very superficial to deep. The depth of penetration is based on the type(s) of peeling agents as well as their percentages. In addition, the acid pH, application technique, quantity applied, skin preparation, and skin type also affect how deep the chemical peel will penetrate.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The initial peel process takes 5 to 7 days post procedure. While individual results vary, most patients begin to experience actual peeling of skin after day 2, and more severe peeling over the course of days 3 and 4. Peeling begins to subside by day 5, and continuously lessens. After day 7, most peeling is complete, however cell turnover may continue for thirty days, with noticeable skin residue after washing and patting dry.
Depending on severity of skin concerns, 1 to 3 peels may be recommended. Individual plans vary based on consultation.
